SOUTH BEND - Thelma L. Horvath, 79,
of 821 S. 26th St., died at 3 a.m. today in her home after an
illness. Mrs. Horvath was employed by Shopper's Fair for 10 years
and Associates Investment Corp. for 10 years. She was born Dec.
22, 1916, in Wabash, Ind., and lived in South Bend most of her
life.
On Aug. 30, 1941, in South Bend, as Thelma
L. Brown, she married Elmer Horvath. He survives with two
daughters, Phyllis M. Carlson of South Bend and Carolyn Bolinger
of Lebanon, Ind.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
and a sister, Helena Pacala of Mishawaka.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in
Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph
Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m.
Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to
Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
