30, 1916 - Dec. 26, 2009NILES - Mary R. Horvath, 93, passed away at 12:17 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2009, in Lakeland Hospital, Niles. Mary was born on July 30, 1916, in South Bend, to Michael and Frances (Ellis) Bojtor. On July 21, 1942, in South Bend, as Mary Bojtor, she married Alex Horvath Sr. He died on March 30, 1992. She was also preceded in death by a son, Chuck Somogyi Jr.; two sisters, Rose Varga and Matilda Fabian; and three brothers, George Bojtor, Frank Bojtor and Steve Bojtor. Surviving are two daughters, Sue Ann (Robert) Nolan of Elkhart and Rose Mary (Robert) Densmore of South Bend; two sons, Alex Horvath Jr. of South Bend and Stephen (Diane) Horvath of Niles; seven grandchildren, Chuck Somogyi, Christy Light, Jeff Horvath, Helen Densmore, Harry Densmore, Amber Horvath and Alexandria Densmore; seven great-grandchildren, Brandie, Allison, Zack, Isaac, Brittany, Natalie and George; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Hojnacki of South Bend; four sisters-in-law, Garnette Fabian, Jean Bojtor, Helen Gostola and Rose Siebrecht; and a brother-in-law, Zigmund Fabian. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
