SOUTH BEND - Lucille F. Horvath, 88, passed away at 6:45 a.m. on
Monday, April 26, 2010, in Regency Place. Lucille was born on
June 24, 1921, in South Bend, to the late Emiel and Martha (Van
Der Haegen) Van Laecke. On February 20, 1949, in South Bend,
Lucille married Louis G. Horvath, who passed away on March 15,
1990. Lucille is survived by her daughter, Judy (Bill) McLochlin
of Mishawaka; son, Michael (Carol) Horvath of Bridgman, MI; six
grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and
five step-great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Hildegarde
Heisler of South Bend. Lucille was a parishioner at Corpus
Christi Catholic Church. She was the secretary and assistant to
Dr. D.W. Frash, M.D., for several years. She enjoyed her children
and especially her grandchildren, and was a very talented singer.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. today, April 28,
2010, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a
Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will also be from
9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2010, in the
funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at
10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2010, in Corpus Christi
Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Women's Care Center,
360 N. Notre Dame Ave., South Bend, IN 46617; or to the Center
for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South
Bend, IN 46637. For those who are unable to attend the funeral
