Steven Horvath Sr.

3, 1946 - June 14, 2009
WHITE PIGEON - Dana Steven Horvath Sr., 63, formerly of South
Bend, passed away Sunday, June 14th, 2009, in his home when he
lost his valiant fight with cancer. Dan was born in South Bend on
March 3, 1946, a son of the late Steven J. and LaRayne A. (King)
Horvath. Dan graduated from Washington High School in South Bend
and served in the U.S. Marines. He worked in the food industry
for over 40 years, serving as a regional manager at Clark Food
Service in South Bend and previously for O'Dells and Burger Chef
Restaurants. Dan loved NASCAR, M.I.S. and Dale Earnhardt. He was
a fantastic father, brother, uncle and friend to all. Surviving
are his former wife, Judith Hutchinson of Three Mile Bay, NY;
sons, Robert S. Horvath and Dana S. Horvath Jr. of White Pigeon;
grandchildren, Zoe, Xavier and Joel Remmo; sister, Judith
Cauffman of Mishawaka, IN; twin brother, Donald S. (Barbara)
Horvath of Granger, IN; four nephews, James Cauffman and Jeffrey
Cauffman of South Bend, Marc Horvath, Granger, and Joseph
Horvath, South Bend. Dan has donated his body to the UofM Medical
School for cancer research. A celebration of Dan's life will be
held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to
