Veronica A. Horner

Veronica A. Horner, 76, of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Monday, July 19, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Veronica Howard was born on April 13, 1923, in South Bend, Ind., to Thomas and Catherine (Hagen) Howard.

On Oct. 15, 1940, she married Milo Elmer Horner, who preceded her in death in 1978. Mrs. Horner worked as a dietitian and food supervisor at the Northern Indiana Children's Hospital for many years of her life. She also worked as a volunteer at Monroe School.

She is survived by three daughters, Frances Benitez of North Hollywood, Calif., Veronica (Ray) M. Houck of Lancaster, Calif., and Shirley J. Sadowski of South Bend; two sons, Markus A. (Patricia) Horner of South Bend and Robert J. (Patricia) Horner of Mishawaka; and by 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home. Private graveside services were held at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Veronica Horner to the American Cancer Society.
