Sister M. Philothea CSC, 81, former principal and teacher at St. Joseph Parochial School, died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Mary’s infirmary. She was born in Topeka, Kan. Nov. 5, 1869. She taught at St. Mary’s Academy, Austin, Texas from 1902 to 1925. From 1925 to 1930 she was teacher and principal in the St. Joseph Parochial School here. In 1930 she returned to St. Mary’s Academy where she was the superior from 1930 to 1936.

Funeral service will be held at 6 a.m. Friday in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception here at St. Mary’s convent. Burial will be in the Community Cemetery.
