Donella J. Horner

SOUTH BEND - Donella J. Horner, 86, passed away at 3:50
a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, in her residence after an extended illness.
Mrs. Horner was born on June 15, 1921, in South Bend, and had
resided in the Michiana area her lifetime.
On February 14, 1942, in South Bend, as
Donella J. Rogers, she married Ralph L. Horner, who
survives. Also surviving are two sons, Ryan E. Horner of
Walkerton and Scott L. (Mary Ann) Horner of Lakeville; two
sisters, Marilyn Laflin of South Bend and Winifred Klinger
of South Carolina. Also five grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren whom she loved and cherished. Donella was a
homemaker, a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be
sadly missed by her loving family and all who had the opportunity
to know her. She was a graduate of Greene Twp. High School, Class
of 1939. Mrs. Horner was a Scout leader for five years, a 4-H
leader for five years, a 4-H judge for six years, and taught
quilting. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jay Rogers.

Visitation hours will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, in the Hanley & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road/Ind. 23, South Bend. The HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home handled arrangements and services and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Horner family.
