Marcia Lynn (Wood) Hoover, 51, of Crestwood Boulevard, South Bend, Ind., died at 9:05 a.m. on Tuesday, April 20, in Hospice House. Marcia was employed with the St. Joseph County Division of Family & Children for six years. Marcia attended Toledo University and IUSB. She was born on July 7, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio.
On June 21, 1975, in South Bend, she married Forest R. Hoover, who survives. She is also survived by her mother, Grace (Swaney) Wood, her father, Ben Wood, and her step-mother, Margaret Wood, all of South Bend; a sister, Laura Barkowski of South Bend; two stepsisters, Pam Little and Kim Towles, both of South Bend; two stepbrothers, Craig Nedderman of South Bend and Jeff Nedderman of Edwardsburg, Mich.; and by two nephews, Zacariah Barkowski of West Lafayette, Ind. and Brandon Barkowski of South Bend.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday in the Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson, with Rev. Ray Vanett officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
