Helen Hoover, 87, of Indianapolis, Ind., formerly of South Bend, Ind., died at 12:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born on Feb. 7, 1913, in South Bend, to the late Eunice and Edward A. Baske.

On Oct. 18, 1935, she married Wilbur D. Hoover, who also preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1974. She is survived by three daughters, Sonja Kerrihard of Peoria, Ill., Suzanne Knoble and Cheryl Schropp of Indianapolis; and by six granddaughters and nine great-grandchildren. She had lived in South Bend most of her life, was a member of the South Bend Progress Club, Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star, and was a Memorial Hospital volunteer.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, in the MCGANN FUNERAL HOMES, UNIVERSITY AREA CHAPEL, 2313 E. Edison Road. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, in the funeral home, with Rev. James B. Miller, pastor of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, officiating. Entombment will be at Riverview Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, 115 S. Frances Street, South Bend, IN 46617.
