SOUTH BEND Francis W. Hoose,
83, of Houston, formerly of South Bend, died Saturday in Houston
after an extended illness. He lived in South Bend for 50 years
and was retired from the former Studebaker Corp., where he worked
for 28 years. He was also a founder and charter member of St.
Anthonys Church here.
Surviving are his widow, the Former
Charlotte Hall; a son, James, both of Houston; seven
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Marie Muir
of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and two brothers, Howard of Mishawaka
and Herman of Charlotte, N.C.
Internment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the
Memorial Oaks Mausoleum in Houston. The George Lewis Funeral Home
of Houston is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hoose was a member
of Prince of Peace Church in Houston and the Ushers Group.
He also belonged to the Keenagers Friendship Group, the Baptist
Senior Citizens Club and the Houston Chapter of the American
Association of Retired Persons.
