SOUTH BEND - Emma P. Hood, 93, of Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Adams Street, died at 12:50 p.m. Monday in the nursing home. Mrs. Hood was born Oct. 26, 1902, in St. Joseph.

On June 14, 1926, in Benton Harbor, she married William E. Hood. He died in 1979. She is survived by five nieces; a nephew; and a cousin. A daughter, Lou Jeanne Leininger, died in 1967. She was a member of Epworth Memorial United Methodist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call an hour before services in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
