Mathias Honold

Mishawaka – As a result of being run down by an alleged drunken driver, at West and Third Streets Friday afternoon, Mathias Honold, age 66, of 719 West Fourth Street, died Sunday morning at 1:20 o’clock in St. Joseph Hospital of a fractured skull, hemorrhage and concussion of the brain.

Born in Germany, Aug. 31, 1860, Mr. Honold came to Mishawaka 35 years ago and since then has been largely employed by the Mishawaka Rubber & Woolen Manufacturing Company. At the time of the accident he was returning from work and was crossing the street, when he was knocked down by the car.

He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Frieda Kempner, with whom he lived, andby one brother in Germany.
