Mishawaka - Martin J. Honold, 78, of 309 Pin Oak Circle, died about 2:45 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness. Mr. Honold retired from the Uniroyal plant in 1972 after 38 years. He was born Feb. 25, 1910 in Mishawaka and was a lifetime area resident. On Feb. 11, 1938 in Mishawaka, he married the former Ruth E. Raymond. She survives with a son David J. of South Bend; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Elizabeth Yoder of Mishawaka; and a brother Carl Honold of Mishawaka.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Mr. Honold was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, South Bend, Local 65 of the United Rubber Workers union and the Uniroyal Foreman’s Club.
