Mishawaka - Edward C. Honold Jr., 49, of 121 W. 10th Street, a lifetime resident of Mishawaka, and proprietor of Milburn Grocery and Market, 2425 Milburn Blvd., died at 8 a.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after an illness of two months.
He married Elsie Boudonck on June,
14, 1932 in St. Bavos Catholic Church.
He was neighborhood commissioner for the Boy Scouts of America
and the first president of the Ushers Club of St. Bavos
Church. Mr. Honold was also a member of Mishawaka Council 1878,
Knights of Columbus; the Belgium-American Businessmenss
Assn., and the Mishawaka Retail Food Dealers Assn.
Besides the widow, survivors include the parents, Mr. and. Mrs. Edward C. Honold of Mishawaka; a daughter, Mrs. John L. Hanson of Junction City, Kan.; one son, Richard at home; two sisters, Mrs. Eugene Doll of Mishawaka and Mrs. Roy Yoder of South bend; three brothers, Martin and Carl of Mishawaka and Frederick of South Bend, and one grandchild.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will take place at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Bavos Church with Rev. Otto J. Keller, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
