Patricia L. Holt, 65, of Cheyenne
Court, Granger, Ind., formerly of Butternut Road, South Bend,
Ind., passed away peacefully in her sleep at 10:40 p.m. on
Friday, Dec. 15, 2000. Patricia was born on March 20, 1935, to
the late Marion and Mae (Stevenson) Warner.
Patricia was also preceded in death by her husband Merritt in
July 1968; a son, Mark in December 1974; a granddaughter, Beth
Marie Kubsch in October 1980; a brother, Kenneth
"Bud" Warner; and by a sister, Marion "Sally"
Loop. She graduated from South Bend Community Schools
G.E.D. program in 1992. She was retired from Uniroyal in March
1997, where she had worked for 32 years in the various
departments, and as their first female forklift driver. Patricia
was also known for the crochet work she donated to many
organizations.
Patricia is survived by two daughters,
Susanne (David) Kubsch, with whom she lived in Granger,
and Glenna (Berry IV) Cannon of Mobile Ala.; eight
grandchildren, Meredith (Keith) Reed of South Bend, Marka
Kubsch of Fort Myers, Fla., Christina (Todd) Banker of
Houston, Texas, Marian (Ben) Lormand of Broussard, La.,
Catherine Cannon, Sarah Cannon, Rebecca Cannon and Berry
Cannon V, all of Mobile; a great-granddaughter, Mia Lormand of
Broussard; a sister, Wilodene Hensley of Walkerton, Ind.;
and by a sister-in-law, Eva Warner of Cleveland, Tenn. Patricia
attended Ontwa Baptist Church in Edwardsburg, Mich.
A memorial service will be held at a later
date. Cremation has taken place in the Michiana Crematory,
The WELSHEIMER FUNERAL HOME is assisting the
family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family of
Patricia L. Holt requests that memorial contributions be made to
the South Bend Homeless Shelter.
