GRANGER - Lynn C. Holtgren, 92, of Granger, passed away during
the early morning hours of February 4th in the Dujarie House.
Lynn was born on May 29, 1917 in Hampshire, Illinois to the late
Lynn D. and Nina O. (Little) Holtgren. He served his country
during WWII in the US Army, and was honorably discharged. In
Mishawaka, on June 15, 1940, he married Betty A. Fuson. She
preceded him in death on November 19, 1999. He was a Chief
Switchman for Indiana Bell, where he worked for 41 years,
retiring in 1977. He was also a past president of the Telephone
Company Pioneers. Lynn is survived by his children; Cynthia A.
(Dennis) Prochko, of Granger, and Michael L. (Judy) Holtgren, of
Niles, Michigan. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Todd
Prochko, Tim (Kim) Prochko, Andy (Lindsey) Prochko, Jerry (Alma)
Holtgren, Marty (Amy) Holtgren, Shawn (Katie) Holtgren, and Mandy
Holtgren, along with fifteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will
be held on Monday, February 8th from 10 am until noon, in the
Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St.. A funeral service
celebrating Lynn's life will be held at Noon, with Rev. Ronald
Drake officiating. Burial is to follow in the Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
