MISHAWAKA - Rachel Noble Holmes, 95, of Northville, Mich., formerly of Mishawaka, died Wednesday in Arnold Home, Detroit. Mrs. Holmes was born Feb. 25, 1899, in New Boston, Ill., and moved to Northville nine years ago from Mishawaka.

On Dec. 31, 1925, in Mishawaka, as Rachel Noble, she married George Holmes. He died in 1964. Surviving are two sons, James of Northville and Roy of Rochester, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was a former member of First United Methodist Church, South Bend.

Services will be at noon Monday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call two hours prior to services in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
