Lucy E. Holloway, 82, of the
Countryside Place Nursing Home, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 11:30
p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3, in St. Joseph Community Hospital,
Mishawaka. She was born on July 15, 1915, in Elberton, Ga., and
had lived in the area since 1945, coming from Tacoma, Wash.
In 1942, in Tacoma, as Lucy E. Hulme,
she married Harland P. Holloway, who preceded her in death on
Nov. 2, 1992. Lucy was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Krienke,
and by her brother, Rev. Gilbert Hulme. She is survived by her
son, Douglas Holloway of South Bend, Ind.; and a grandson,
Dustin; four nephews, Arvid N. Krienke of Osceola, Ind., Merwyn
H. Krienke of Phoenix, Ariz., Greg Hulme of Greenwood, Mo., and
Jim Hulme of Kansas City, Mo.; and by two nieces, Ann Bruening
of VanBuren, Mo., and Patty Young of Seymour, Mo.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in
the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood, with Rev. Jay
Ott of the First Church of the Nazarene, South Bend, officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to service time in the funeral
home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens,
Osceola.
