He is survived by daughter, Emilie Ann (Michael) Morse; son, Tommy Holland; mother, Celeste Holland; sister, Linda (Jack) Troyer & their daughter, April Troyer. Gathering of friends and family: 4-7 PM Wednesday at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Glynn R. Holland

Glynn R. “Bones” Holland, 65, residing in Mishawaka, IN passed away at 4:30 AM on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Kindred Hospital, Mishawaka. He was born on February 3, 1947 in Fulton, Kentucky to James and Celeste Holland. Glynn is a 1965 graduate of Mishawaka High School. He honorably served in the United States Navy for six years (1966-1973) during the Vietnam War. He also served on the Mishawaka Fire Department for 23 years (1975-1998). His hobbies included cooking, motorcycle riding, and traveling. Glynn is survived by his daughter Emilie Ann (Michael) Morse of Niles, MI; son, Tommy Holland of Osceola; mother, Celeste Holland of Mishawaka; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Jack Troyer of Mishawaka, and their daughter, April Troyer, of Michigan. He was preceded in death by his father, James Holland, on July 24, 2008. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend 46615. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Glynn Holland may be made in his name to the Professional Firefighters of Mishawaka, IAFF Local 360, PO Box 1327, Mishawaka, IN 46546 (International Association of Firefighters).
