Eugenia Hojnacki, 84, of South Bend,
Ind., died at 7:09 p.m. on Monday, June 3.
Eugenia was born Nov. 13, 1917, in
Cleveland, Ohio, and was the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Oleksiuk)
Stoklosa, who both have preceded her in death. She married
Joseph Hojnacki on April 12, 1942. Joseph preceded her in death
on April 8, 1978. She was also preceded in death by a sister,
Estelle Grebik. She is survived by two daughters, Diana
Hojnacki of Berkley, Mich., and Susan (Robert) Widup of
New Carlisle, Ind.; a son, Timothy Hojnacki of Las Vegas, Nev.;
four grandchildren, Katie and Becky Widup, Jennifer Sarsfield
and Angela Sears; four great- grandchildren, Morgan Sears,
Hailey, Chelsea and Jaydon Sarsfield; many nieces and nephews;
and by a brother, Frank (Helen) Stoklosa of Detroit, Mich.
Eugenia was a member of the St. Hedwig Catholic Church and Z.B.
Falcons. Eugenia and her late husband were owners of Hojnacki
Sausage Shop for three generations.
Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8
p.m. Thursday, June 6, in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S
Mayflower Road, where there will be a Rosary said at 4 p.m.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 7, in St. Hedwig
Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
