Sister Mary Ambrose CSC, 61 of the convent of Loretto at St. Mary’s, died in St. Joseph Hospital in South Bend, at 5 a.m. Sunday morning. In secular life she was Miss Hedwige C. Hoffman. For many years she had been the official portress at the college. She was born in Michigan in 1878; received the holy habit in 1910; and professed in 1915.

A requiem high mass will be at the convent Church of Loretto at the college at 5:30 a.m Tuesday will internment in the community cemetery.
