SOUTH BEND - Betty G. Hoffman, 88, of South Bend, died at 3:30 a.m. on Monday (Dec. 5, 2011) in her home. She was born Sept. 17, 1923, in Logansport, Indiana, to John & Louise (Lidgard) Brugh. On January 1, 1940, she married Thomas F. Hoffman, who preceded her in death in November 1984. Surviving are 2 daughters, Patricia Hoffman of Mishawaka & Pam (Marvin) Ward of South Bend; 2 sons, Pete Hoffman of Kyle, TX, and Charles (Carol) Hoffman of Mishawaka. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday (Dec. 9, 2011) at the Living Water Church, 1922 Milburn Ave., Mishawaka, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice Care, South Bend. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
