Sister M. Regina CSC, 71, of St. Mary’s Convent, died Friday evening in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend. Born Sept. 7 1904 in New York City as Catherine Hoey, she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on June 29, 1921. She was received as a novice Jan. 6, 1922 and made her profession of vows Aug. 15, 1924. She taught in elementary and secondary school in South Bend, Washington DC, Pennslyvania, New York, Virginia and Nassachusetts. She lived in St. Mary’s Convent since 1969.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Loretto Church and burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call Sunday and until services in the convent parlors, where a rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m. Sunday.
