MISHAWAKA - Ruby Hoerstman, 68, of 1309 Forrest Avenue, Mishawaka died Thursday afternoon in Michiana Community Hospital after an illness. She was born July 9, 1919 in Pikeville, Ky., and had lived in the Michiana area most of her life.

On Jan. 28, 1956 in Mishawaka, she married Jerry V. Hoerstman, who survives. Also surviving are a son, David Litteral, of Knoxville, Tenn.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Van Dusen of South Bend, and a brother, John Hicks of Jacksonville, Fla.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sumption Prairie Cemetery. Friends amy call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Editor: She is the daughter of Charles and Pricie Hicks. On 1-28-1956 as Ruby Prater she married Gerald V. Hoerstman in St. Joseph County IN. As Ruby Hicks she married John L. Prater on 6-22-1944 in St. Joseph County IN.
