Virginia L. Hobkirk

Virginia L. Hobkirk, 76, residing in Desert Hot Springs, Calif., formerly of South Bend, Ind., passed away on Friday morning, April 4, in Palm Springs Hospital, Palm Springs, Calif. Mrs. Hobkirk had been a supervisor in real estate with the Abstract Title Corporation in South Bend for 25 years. She was born to Fern (Holbrook) and Orvie Casper on March 20, 1921, in Chicago, Ill., and had lived in South Bend until moving to Desert Hot Springs in 1985.

Mrs. Hobkirk is survived by her loving husband, Donald, residing in Desert Hot Springs; two sons, Donald Hobkirk, Jr., of Cedar Hill, Texas, and Richard Hobkirk of Fountain Valley, Calif.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Jean Meehan, also of Desert Hot Springs.

Mrs. Hobkirk was a member of the River Park Church of Christ while residing in South Bend.

Services for Mrs. Hobkirk were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 7, in the Palm Springs Church of Christ. Cremation has taken place.
