"Ex-Mishawaka Businessman Dies in
Europe"
Henry Himschoot, 82, of St. Laureins,
Bengium, formerly of Mishawaka, died last Tuesday in a hospital
in Eeklo, Belgium, according to word received by his son Cyriel
Himschoot, of Mishawaka.
The older Mr. Himschoot had owned and
operated the former Club Restaurant, 107 S. Main St., and was in
business in Mishawaka for 30 years.
Born Jan. 1, 1886, in St. Laureins, he had
lived most of his life here until about eight years ago, when he
returned to Belgium.
Surviving in addition to his son Cyriel are
a step-son, Joseph Alby of South Bend and two
step-daughters, Mrs. Robert Gillespie of Florida, and Mrs.
Charles Lynch of California; four grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.
Services were held in St. Laureins last
Saturday.
Note: Henry Himschoot married for the
second time to Pearl Josephine Deka, daughter of John Deka and
Anna Klewin Deka; Henrys first wifes name is unknown.
