SOUTH BEND - Tommy L. "Tank" Hill, 60, of South Bend, IN, passed away June 24, 2008, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Born May 16, 1948, he was the son of the late Clarence R. and Florence V. (Bare) Hill.

On April 17, 1971, Tom married Kathy A. Paulsen, who survives in South Bend. He is also survived by a daughter, Tabitha Hill of North Liberty; a son, Anthony (Angela); and three grandchildren, Devon, Cheyenne and Christian Hill of Mishawaka; a brother, Jimmy Lee Hill (Aileen) of Hawaii. Tom graduated from Riley High School (1960). He later worked as an EMT for McGann Ambulance Service, and retired from the St. Joseph County Police Department were he worked as a mechanic for over 20 years. Services will be held in the McGann Hay Funerals | Cremations | Gatherings, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23 (enter off Cherry Road) on Saturday at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Steven W. Coyle, St. Joseph County police chaplain.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to be distributed among various organizations.
