Thomas J. Hill

September 8, 1850 – September 24, 1917

Thomas J. Hill, aged 67 years, died Monday at 3:15pm at his home, 511 North Main Street, death resulting from an illness covering several years.

Mr. Hill was born in Columbia County PA, September 8, 1850, and had been a resident of this city for 39 years.  Prior to his coming to South Bend, he conducted a milling business in Hazelton PA.  In 1878 he came to this city and engaged in the same business in partnership with his brother, the late S. W. Hill.  In the many years of his business associations he gained a large circle of friends throughout this part of the country. 

The deceased is survived by his wife, three daughters, Helen, Florence and Margaret; one sister, Mrs. Mary E. Everitt, of Pennsylvania, and four brothers, Charles F. and Emanuel, both of Pennsylvania; James of California and Dr. J. W. Hill, of this city.
