Catherine G. Hilborn

Catherine G. (Fitch) Hilborn, 92, passed into eternal life on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000 in the Holy Cross Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on June 29, 1908 in Liberty Mills, Ind. to the late Lemon and Grace Iholtz Fitch. Catherine lived most of her life in South Bend, Ind.

In March of 1927, she married Donald B. Hilborn who passed away in July of 1965.

Surviving Mrs. Hilborn are a daughter, Norma Cherry of South Bend; a granddaughter, Joei; a grandson, Brian Cherry.

Catherine was active for over 30 years with the Northern Indiana Center for the Blind, and was a member of Timberland Bible Church in South Bend.

Calling for Mrs. Hilborn will be Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001 in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3718 S. Michigan Street, from 5 to 6 p.m. with a funeral service at 6 p.m. A reception will follow the service in the funeral home and burial will take place at a later date. The family of Mrs. Hilborn requests in lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Holy Cross Care & Rehabiliation Center, 17475 Dugdale Drive, South Bend, Ind. 46635 or to the family of Catherine Hilborn.
