Mrs. Eleanor Heston, 88, formerly of South Bend, died Friday in Visalia Hospital, Visalia, Calif. She resided with her son, A. Joseph Heston of Lindsey, Calif. She was born March 7, 1884, in South Bend, and moved to Lindsey 23 years ago.

Her husband Alonzo J. Heston died Feb. 19, 1942. Surviving are her son Joseph; two other sons, Archbishop Edward L Heston, CSC, of Rome, Italy, and Robert of Mishawaka; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph P. Peterson of South Bend, and Mrs. James Gleason of Lockport, Ill.; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; A brother, Marvin M. Hickey and a sister, Miss Genevieve Hickey, both of South Bend.

Friends may call in the Hickey Funeral Homes from 2 to 9 p.m. Arrangements are pending. She was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
