Deana was born on April 1, 1934, in Hartford City, IN, to the late Floyd L. and Lillian M. (Thrasher) Baker. On January 29, 1982 in Mishawaka, IN, she was married to Charles R. Heston Sr., who survives. Also surviving are nine children; Richard (Carla) Soule Jr., of Mishawaka, IN, Rita (Arthur McNeely) Gibson, of Mishawaka, IN, Linda Runyon, of Wolcottville, IN, Norman (Cindy) Soule, Richard Hills, TX, Christopher (Kimberly) Heston, of Mishawaka, IN, Carrie (Wally) Siwek, of Green Bay, WI, Cherie (Chris) Pletcher, of Elkhart, IN, Charles (Theresa) Heston Jr., of Osceola, IN, Cynthia VanderZanden, of Green Bay, WI, fifty-seven grandchildren, fifty-eight great grandchildren, one brother, Leon (Ruth) Baker, of Mishawaka, IN, five sisters, Cleasta (Don) Thomas, of Hartford City, IN, Frances (Harry) Landis, of Hartford City, IN, Lesta (Wesley) Pettit, of Geneva, IN, Mary Taylor, of Muncie, IN. Deana is preceded in death by one son, Gregory Soule, one daughter, Gale Lynn Soule, five sisters, Margaret Blackburn, Lorretta Massey, Virginia Baker, Leota Baker, Sue Roderick and one brother, Byron Baker.
Deana was a member of the Moose Lodge in Mishawaka, IN, and also American Legion Auxiliary in LaGrange, IN. Deana enjoyed to bowl.
Visitation for Deana will be held on Monday April 30, 2012, from 4 till 8pm, in Bubb Funeral Chapel 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, IN, 46545. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday May 1, 2012 at 11am at St. Bavo Catholic Church 511 W. 7th St., Mishawaka, IN, 46544 with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka, IN.
