SOUTH BEND - Marquis H. Hess, aged 41, of 1010 East Dayton Street, died in St. Joseph Hospital at 8 a.m. today after a six weeks illness. He was born June 16, 1902 in Argos, Ind. and came here 20 years ago from that city.

He leaves his widow, Irene Hess; his mother, Mrs. J. Savidge. South Bend; three children, Donald E., Jack and Thomas, all at home; and a sister, Mrs. Irene Clark, South Bend. Friends will be received in the residence after 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The funeral of Marguis H. Hess, of 1010  E. Dayton Street,  will take place at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. Rev. Arnold J. Wibbert, pastor, will sign the mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends will be received in his residence until the funeral.
