Agnes M. Hess, 80, a Niles, Mich.
resident and homemaker died at 1 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, at
Lakeland Medical Center-Niles.
She married Edward Paul Hess on April 10,
1937, in South Bend, Ind., and he preceded her in death in 1975.
She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Rennay and Bud Dalenberg
of Virginia Beach, Va.; a granddaughter, Stephanie Wilson
of Virginia Beach; a grandson, Paul Dalenberg of Misaw Air Force
Base, Japan; two great-granddaughters, Katie and Ashley Dalenberg
of Misawaka; a great-grandson, Matthew Wilson of Virginia Beach;
and by one brother, John Mariel of South Bend.
Mrs. Hess was the oldest living past
president of the Womens Auxiliary American Legion LaRue Messenger
Post 26-Niles. She also was an avid antique collector, and an
avid collector and lecturer of mushrooms.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today in
the Chapel at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend. There will be no
visitation offered. Memorial contributions may be made to charity
of choice. Pifer-SMITH Funeral Home, Niles, is handling
arrangements.
