MISHAWAKA - Charles Herthoge, 69, of Hodson Street, died at 2:38 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Community Hospital. Mr. Herthoge retired as a carpenter and formerly worked for Studebaker Corp. He was born April 19, 1926, in South Bend.

On June 28, 1947, in Mishawaka, he married Louise Stemes. She survives with a son, Charles T. of Mishawaka; a grandson, Garrett Herthoge of Mishawaka; and a brother, Albert of Mishawaka. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call two hours before services on Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
