Albert P. Herthoge

Albert P. Herthoge, 74, of North Elder, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on June 13 at 9:45 a.m. in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka. Albert was born on Jan. 3, 1925 in Granger, Ind. to Charles and Elizabeth (Elli) Herthoge, who both preceded him in death. Albert was also preceded in death by his son, Delbert E. Fleck; and by his brother, Charles Herthoge, Jr.

On June 18, 1964, in Edwardsburg, Mich., Albert married Catharee White. Albert leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife; two daughters, Glenda (Ken) Pickett of Kendallville, Ind. and Kathy (Ralph) Werner of Mishawaka; a son, Gregg (Emma) Herthoge of Mishawaka; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Albert served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was employed by A.M. General and retired in 1987 after 13 years of service. Albert was a member of the U.A.W. Local #5 and V.F.W. Post 360 in Mishawaka.

Friends may visit with the family from 10 to noon on Thursday, June 17. Funeral services will be at noon. Entombment will follow. Pastor Adolph Lacy will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Diabetes Association.
