SOUTH BEND - Maria Olga Hernandez, 49, of South Bend, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at 7 p.m. in her residence after an extended illness. Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Gregorio Resendiz, who passed away in March 1997. She leaves behind three daughters, Cecilia Resendiz of Colon Qro, Mexico, Marisol Resendiz of South Bend, IN, and Hortensia Resendiz of Wilmington, Delaware; two sons, Hugo Resendiz and Humberto Resendiz of Wilmington, DE; six sisters, Ofelia, Oliva, Elena, Ema, Maria and Delores Hernandez of Mexico; and two brothers, Sostenes Hernandez of North Carolina and Nicolas Hernandez of Los Angeles, CA. Private graveside services were held at Highland Cemetery, South Bend, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2010. The HANLEY & Sons Funeral Home handled arrangements and extend its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Hernandez family.
