MISHAWAKA - Charles B. Herendeen, 72, of 11895 Bowman Drive, died about 7:15 a.m. Monday in his home after an illness. Mr. Herendeen retired in 1985 from Uniroyal Plastics Co. He was born Sept. 17, 1922, in Akron, and lived in Mishawaka for 52 years, coming from Akron.

On Dec. 31, 1948, in Kokomo, he married Barbara R. Biersdorfer. She survives, with a brother, Harold of Ocala, Fla. He was a member of St. Mark's Missionary Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Fund of the church or Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
