Mrs. Julia Hepler
Mrs. Julia Hepler, age 68, 124 North Spruce street, died Friday
afternoon at 1:15 o'clock following an illness of two weeks of
heart trouble. Mrs. Hepler was born in Germany, Aug.18,1855 and
came to the United States when she was about eight years
old. She has been a resident of South Bend for 50 years and is
the widow of the late Daniel Hepler. Surviving are six children,
Harvey, Clarence, Frank, Georgey and Valley Hepler, of this city,
and Mrs. Robert Campbell, of New York City; three brothers, A.C.
Kuss, of Allentown, Pa., F.A. Kuss, of Fond du Lac, Wis., and
William Kuss, of Wanatah, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. William Remmo,
of this city. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3
o'clock at the residence. Rev. W.H. Freshley, officiating. Burial
will be in the city cemetery. Mrs. Hepler was a member of the
Woodman circle.
