Theron J. Hensler, 93, residing on
Westridge Boulevard, Greenwood, Ind., formerly of Pleasant
Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday,
May 4, in Regency Place, Greenwood, from natural causes. Mr.
Hensler was self-employed as a Public Accountant for twenty-five
years. He was born on Feb. 12, 1906 in Mishawaka, Ind., to the
late Charles and Laura Hensler and lived in South Bend most of
his life.
On Aug. 31, 1929 in South Bend he married
Dora Edna Avenmarg who preceded him in death on July 14,
1995. He was also preceded in death by a son, Theron A. Hensler
and by a brother, Wilbur Hensler. Mr. Hensler is survived by a
daughter, Doris A. Roemer of Indianapolis, Ind.; a son,
Dale Hensler of Tampa, Fla.; nine grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; and by a brother-in-law, Richard Avenmarg of
Jackson, Mich.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on
Friday, May 7 in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 805 South 29th
Street, South Bend, where Mr. Hensler was a charter member. Rev.
Daniel A. Streufert will officiate the service. Burial will
follow at St. Joseph Valley memorial Park, Granger. Friends may
call one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial
contributions for Theron J. Hensler may be made to the
Alzheimer's Association, 425 North Michigan, South Bend, IN
46601. Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend, is handling arrangements.
