MISHAWAKA - Corydon ''Red'' Hensel,
85, of 1302 Delaware Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away in the
early morning hours of Saturday, March 21, in his residence. Mr.
Hensel was born on June 21, 1912, in Three Oaks, Mich., to
Charles and Hattie Hensel, who preceded him in death. He was also
preceded in death by a daughter, Aletha Wave Hensel in 1945.
On Aug. 2, 1930, he married the former Helen
Luther in New Carlisle, Ind. She survives. He is also
survived by two sons, Dennis Allen Hensel of Niles, Mich. and
Larry Gordon Hensel, Sr., of Mishawaka; a daughter, Carol Ann Yena
of Mishawaka; and by nine grandchildren and 19
great-grandchildren. Mr. Hensel was a foreman and a welder for
the Wheelabrator/Frye Corporation in Mishawaka for 52 years,
retiring in 1972. He was a member of the Bethel Tabernacle of
Niles.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on
Tuesday at Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, where
friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday. Burial will follow
at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Memorial
contributions may be made to the Bethel Tabernacle.
