Joan Zajak Hennion, 77, of 1547 Wildflower Way, died at 5:16 p.m. Monday in her home after an illness, Mrs. Hennion was born March 5, 1915, in Mosennee, Wis., and lived in South Bend for 22 years, coming from Niles. On May 21, 1976, in River Forest, Ill., she married Joseph Basil Hennion. He survives with a daughter, Aurelia R. Sell of San Antonio, Texas; a stepson, Robert J. of South Bend; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Marian Ziegler of Marion, Wis.; and two brothers, Thaddeus Zajak and Casimer Zajak, both of Niellsville, Wis.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Basilica at the University of Notre Dame. Cremation will take place. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday in McGann Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
