Sister Mary Lea James CSC died todat at St. Mary’s Convent. She was born Mildred May Heneghan in Jacksonville, Ill. in 1898. She received the habit of the congregation in 1921 and made her profession of vows in 1923. She served many years on nursing duty at various hospitals and had charge of the infirmary at Holy Cross Convent at Notre Dame, and at the Provincial House prior to her assignment to St. Mary’s Convent.

Services will be at 6:30 a.m. Friday with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call until 7 p.m. Thursday in the convent parlor.
