Esther Ruth Heinke, 88, of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away following an illness on Tuesday, Sept. 7, in Colorado Springs. She was born on April 3, 1911, in Madison Township, Ind.

On May 10, 1942, she married Kenneth Elton Heinke, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Wayne R. Heinke of Colorado Springs; a brother, Calvin Horein of South Bend, Ind.; and her grandchildren, David Heinke, Brian Heinke and Karen Williamson, all of Colorado. Mrs. Heinke was retired from the public school system in Mishawaka.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. Private burial services will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind., at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cedar Road Missionary Church, 525 Cedar Road, Osceola, Ind.
