Clara J. Heinerich, 73, of South Bend, Ind., passed away at 4:40 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2001, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center after an illness. Clara was born in Crown Point, Ind., on December 6, 1927. She was employed at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, as a surgical technician for 25 years retiring in 1990. She was a member of St. Matthew Cathedral.

Surviving are four daughters, Carol Snyder of Culver, Ind., and Linda Turner, Gail Vida and Christine Madar, all of South Bend; one son, Keith Moody of South Bend; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Ann Lewis of Florida, Bernadette Hock of South Bend, Therese Melton of South Bend and Edna Curran of Mishawaka, Ind.; and two brothers, John Heinerich of Benton Harbor, Mich., and Herbert Heinerich of California.

There will not be any visitation. Cremation will take place. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Matthew Cathedral, South Bend, IN. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the nursing staff of the Fifth Floor at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Bubb Funeral Chapel North is handling arrangements.
