Brother Tobias CSC, 68, died at 6 p.m. Sunday in the community infirmary at Notre Dame. He was born Sept. 29, 1880 as Edward M. Heider, in Beaver Dam, Wis. On Feb. 1, 1931 he received the holy habit of the Congregation of Holy Cross, and was professed Aug. 16, 1935. After his profession he did steward work at the Sacred Heart Junior College, Watertown, Wis., and at the Holy Cross Novitiate, North Dartmouth, Mass. For the last ten years he has been a road representative for the Ave Maria magazine. He suffered a stroke of apoplexy in Dallas, Texas, three weeks ago. He was brought to the community infirmary last Thursday from St. Paul Hospital in Dallas.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Church, Notre Dame, with burial in Community Cemetery.
