Feb. 16, 2010SOUTH BEND - Francis L. Heggie, 94, of South Bend, IN, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010, in the Sanctuary at St. Joseph's, South Bend. Francis was born to Bertha Tally, (preceded her in death), in South Bend, Indiana. Francis married the late Carl Heggie. She was a resident with her first cousin, Falara Elias, for over 45 years. She is survived by a host of cousins from South Bend, IN, New Jersey, New York, Virginia and Georgia. Francis was a longtime employee with the Albert's Hotel and Monarch Cleaner Services. She was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church. Francis loved cooking food for family and friends. Memorial services for Mrs. Francis Heggie will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2010.
