Brother Quentin Hegarty CSC, 74, died at 10:10 p.m. Saturday at Holy Cross High School, River Grove, Ill. after suffering an apparent heart attack. Brother Quentin was born Aug. 22, 1912 in Indianapolis. He is survived by several cousins.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Chapel at Brothers Center. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery there. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Center.

Brother Hegarty became a novice on Feb. 1, 1932 and professed his vows in the Congregation of the Holy Cross on Feb. 2, 1933. He served as a teacher at Holy Cross Brother’s High Schools in New Orleans, Fort Wayne, Albany, N.Y., Biloxi, Miss., West Haven, Conn., Chicago, Tauton, Mass. And Evansville, Ind. In 1947 he served as principal of Central Catholic High School, River Grove.
