Jean A. Heeter, 79, of Forest Avenue, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, in her residence. She was born in Mishawaka on July 13, 1920, and had lived in this area all of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Hazel (Trimble) Heeter; and by three brothers, Darrell, Chester, Jr., and Norman Heeter.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Ranell Harmon of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Janell, Jacob, Douglas and Raymond Harmon; and two sisters, Betty LaShure of Florida and Phyllis Thompson of Servia, Ind.; and by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and one great-great-nephew. Her life's work was caring for her cerebral-palsied brother.

Friends may call from 11 to noon on Wednesday, May 3, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. The family wishes to thank her friends and neighbors who helped Jean through the years.
