SOUTH BEND - Services for Margaret A.
Hecox, 69, of Ewing Street, who died at 1:18 a.m. Friday at
the home of her son in Madison, Wis., will be at 11 a.m. Monday
in Zion United Church of Christ. Burial will be in Edwardsburg
(Mich.) Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. today in Hahn
Funeral Home, Mishawaka, and one hour before services Monday in
the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church
Critical Care Outreach Program or Hospice.
Mrs. Hecox was a teacher at Madison School
from 1969 to 1972 and St. Bavo's School in Mishawaka from 1976 to
1989. She was born July 21, 1925, in Harrisonburg, Va., living
here since 1973.
On May 13, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio, as
Margaret Davis, she married George E. Hecox. He survives
with three daughters, Joan Schooley of Perrysburg, Ohio,
Janet Sarver of De Pere, Wis., and Jackie Hecox Tighe
of Edwardsburg; a son, Kurt of Madison; seven grandchildren; two
sisters, Geneva Beard and Pauline Schaffner, both
of Springfield, Ohio; and a brother, Gerald Davis of Dublin,
Ohio. She was a member of the church, Lyndenwood Advisory Group
and Sweet Adelines.
