22, 1948 - Feb. 25, 2010OSCEOLA - Donald E. Heavner, 61, of Pierce Street, Osceola, passed away at 11:05 am Thursday at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. He was born in Mishawaka to Jesse and Mirtie (Geans) Heavner. He was preceded in death by his father in 2004. On November 24th, 1990, in Granger, he married the former Jill Barker. She survives with two stepsons, Tony Wlodarek of Edwardsburg and Jay (Cindy) Barker of North Carolina along with a stepdaughter, Sheila Strickler of Elkhart. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Caroline (Robert) White of Mishawaka, David (Deborah) Heavner of Osceola, Trenda (Jerry) Moore of Plymouth and Lisa (Rick) Cour of Elkhart. Mr. Heavner was a Contractor and Developer for Housing Indiana Inc. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends will be received from 3 until 7 pm on Sunday.
